Thom Gibson
Thom Gibson is a two-time teacher of the year educator in Austin, TX. He’s an Adobe Education Leader and teaches math, robotics, science, YouTube Video Production, and heads up the esports club.
He’s on a mission to help fellow middle-school STEM teachers create meaningful & memorable experiences for their students. He does this through weekly teaching tips on his YouTube channel, sharing stories from other educators on his podcast ‘Stories from the Classroom’ and through his two online courses for educators, ‘How to Teach Kids About Money’ and ‘Create Successful Videos for Distance Learning.'
Outside of education, he's a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, learner of Mandarin, an avid runner, a chicken wing connoisseur, and is actively involved in his church. He and his wife Sara have recently become new parents. Their favorite things to do as a family are to take evening walks, have little dance parties, and watch way too many episodes of The Amazing Race.
